We were born in the heart of Brazil. We are part of a global group that carries technology in its luggage
and research, embedded in Canadian Know-how.
Today, Ero Brasil is made up of the following units: Caraíba, Tucumã and Xavantina. We were born at the height of a history of more than half a century, always guided by respect, overcoming and transforming the regions where our business units are located.
Mineração Caraíba has in its Integrated Management Policy a guideline that must be used by all employees, suppliers and shareholders to direct conduct inside and outside the company. Below is our understanding of this important document:
To be a medium-sized mining company recognized for its excellence, sustainability and profitability of its assets
At Ero Brasil we operate with the premise of absolute respect:
We invest in employee safety and health, as we understand that these are priorities for the success of our business units. For this reason, we maintain a team of technicians and safety engineers in our operational staff, who work daily in support of all areas.
The safety area carries out daily inspections, supplies and supervises the use of PPE and EPCs, in addition to supporting the other teams to carry out their activities in compliance with international occupational safety requirements.
For this, we use the Zero Accident Prevention program – PAZ, which guides all actions taken by our employees through guidelines. In its 10 pillars, the PAZ program offers a broad view of a rigid system of work safety with reference to auditable items. Twice a year, Ero Brasil’s work safety team carries out internal audits in order to verify the compliance of the areas’ routines with the PAZ program.
This is our policy to encourage and guarantee our employees a safer and better working environment.
The PAZ Program has already emerged as our main tool for risk management and loss control.
